The purpose of this briefing is to discuss on-call crisis in trauma care. Representatives from the following agencies will present contents on two reports, "Trauma System Consultation State of Hawaii" from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and "On-call Crisis in Trauma Care: Government Responses" from the Legislative Reference Bureau as stipulated in House Concurrent Resolution 229, H. D. 1, 2005. A discussion will follow on how the appropriate private sector and government respond to on-call crisis to ensure access to trauma medical care.
