RELATING TO THE ISLAND OF KAHO`OLAWE.

Appropriates funds to install renewable energy systems for a model kahua kauhale or encampment on Kaho`olawe and to enable ongoing evaluation of renewable resources for the island.

RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE.

Requires that all publications, signage, or other items produced by the State exempts correctly spell Hawai‘i by including a glottal stop; exempts publications, signage, or other items existing before the active date of this Act.

RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE.

Requires signs in state buildings, parks, facilities, and other state public sites to be in Hawaiian and English. Requires use of okina and kahako on signs in the Hawaiian language to reflect proper use of the language.

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC LAND TRUST.

Provides that twenty days prior to the convening of each legislative session, the governor shall provide to the legislature and the office of Hawaiian affairs an accounting of all revenues of, and certain other information relating to, the public land trust for the most recent fiscal year preceding the session. Requires that the report be for each state department and agency.

RELATING TO THE COUNTIES.

Requires counties to adopt ordinances to allow buildings designed using practices, styles, customs, and materials from indigenous Hawaiian architecture.

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS.

Establishes the amount of interim revenue to be expended by OHA each fiscal year to better conditions of native Hawaiians from $15,100,000 to an unspecified amount. Appropriates funds.
