HB 3065	RELATING TO CAPITAL INVESTMENTS. Increases the total amount of issued and transferable tax credits. Adds insurance premium taxes to the list of applicable taxes. Ensures that tax credits will be invested in Hawaii companies. Authorizes the corporation to use refundable credits to support technology industry development efforts.	EDB, FIN
HB 3064	RELATING TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. Establishes the Hawaii Innovations Fund (HIF) to provide grants to individuals or businesses that conduct research or product development in the life sciences, qualified high technology, and advanced technology fields. Appropriates $100,000,000 to be deposited into the HIF, with $50,000,000 transferred from HIF to the State Private Investment Fund.	EDB, FIN
HB 2181	RELATING TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. Establishes the Hawaii Innovations Fund to provide grants to individuals or businesses that conduct research or product development in the life sciences or advanced technology fields.	EDB, FIN
HB 3087 (HSCR240-06)	RELATING TO PROCUREMENT. Amends the Procurement Code to allow more efficiency and flexibility for the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation to purchase health care goods and services.	HLT, EDB, FIN

For the purpose of receiving testimony and discussion, the Committee will be hearing the following measure reflecting the deletion of current contents and the insertion of new language in a proposed amendment form (HD1):
HB 1368 (HSCR153)	RELATING TO LAND USE. Authorizes each county to establish an advisory group to assist the county planning department to identify land use policies and development standards and to identify lands suitable for reclassification into the rural district. Requires office of planning to assist counties in coordinating meetings and provide technical assistance.	WLO/AGR, EDB, FIN
PROPOSED HD1	RELATING TO PERMISSIBLE USES WITHIN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICTS. Deems certain single-family dwellings as approved uses in agricultural districts; provided that not more than 10% of the project area consists of soils classified as A or B.
