RELATING TO PLANNED COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONS.

In real estate contracts to purchase an interest in a planned community, requires the mandatory seller disclosure statement to include the planned community declaration and association documents (HB1935 HD1).

RELATING TO PLANNED COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONS.

Requires planned community association (PCA) boards to give notice of the formation of a committee or subcommittee in meeting minutes, provide PCA members with better access to records, give members requesting information notice of intent to assess the cost of duplicating or producing association records, and annually audit association accounts and provide copies to members. Prohibits board members with a conflict of interest from voting. Authorizes DCCA to study PCA issues and propose legislation to protect member interests, and hear and resolve complaints. RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Specifies applicability of chapter 514A, HRS, the condominium law, after effective date of chapter 514B, HRS, the recodified condominium law. Makes substantive and technical amendments to chapter 514B, HRS. Amends section 484-3 and chapter 514C, HRS, for consistency with chapter 514B. (HB3225 HD1)

RELATING TO MORTGAGE FORECLOSURES.

Limits downpayment in event of power of sale foreclosure auction to not more than 10 percent of successful bid, with the downpayment to be used, if the sale does not close, for the mortgagee's auction and escrow expenses, with the balance returned to the successful bidder (HB3100 HD1).

RELATING TO OUT-OF-STATE SALES OF TIME SHARE INTERESTS.

Exempts time share plans, containing accommodations or facilities located in Hawaii, that are offered for sale outside the U.S. from Hawaii's time sharing plans law, provided that the developer of the time share plan meets certain filing requirements. (HB3238 HD1)

RELATING TO BUSINESS REGISTRATION.

Clarifies and corrects ambiguities and errors in Hawaii's business registration laws.

RELATING TO AN INACTIVE STATUS FOR PROFESSIONAL AND VOCATIONAL LICENSES.

Authorizes affected licensing authorities to allow licensees to go on inactive status when they are currently not engaged in the practice of their profession or vocation, and allows licensees to reactivate their licenses at any time during the licensure period or at renewal.

RELATING TO VETERINARIANS.

Authorizes, upon certain conditions and without examination, temporary permits to be issued to veterinarians who are licensed in good standing in another state that has licensing standards equivalent to or higher than Hawaii's (HB1836 HD2).

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
