Establishes a low-interest loan program for persons who are at least 55 years of age and who meet income and occupancy qualifications to fix unsafe living conditions and to bring dwellings into compliance with building, electrical, and plumbing codes. (HB2598 HD1)

Allows the CSEA to suspend licenses of those individuals who have become delinquent in making payment after entering into an agreement once notice was sent informing the individual of the license suspension process, rather than having to reinitiate the entire license suspension process from the beginning. RELATING TO DESIGN PROFESSIONALS.

Requires the filing of a certificate of merit with any complaint filed against a design professional for failure to meet the standard of care. Also, requires the filing of a preliminary expert opinion affidavit (HB1417 HD1).

RELATING TO CONTRACTS.

Provides for prompt payment to subcontractor or materialman upon completion of the work or provision of the materials required under the contract. Permits subcontractor or materialman to obtain a certificate of completion which functions as a lien on the property. Upon issuance of certificate, requires payment in full within time stipulated in the subcontract or material contract. (HB3036 HD1)

RELATING TO THE UNIFORM ATHLETE AGENTS ACT.

Enacts the Uniform Athlete Agents Act to protect student-athletes and educational institutions from potential harm caused by unscrupulous athlete agents. Exempts its provisions from the Auditor's sunrise review. (HB2440 HD2)
