State and federal officials, an expert on constitutional law, and representatives from the telecommunications industry have been invited to participate in a discussion regarding "phone record confidentiality". Recent reports about electronic surveillance of American citizens by the National Security Agency (NSA) have raised serious concerns as to whether such activities are constitutional and whether the public's right to privacy has been adequately protected.
