A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to education.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007, to provide:
(1) One clerical position for each grade level in each public elementary school;
(2) One clerical position for each department in each public intermediate school;
(3) One clerical position for each department in each public high school; and
(4) Temporary clerical positions throughout the State according to teacher need.
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
