Appropriates $145,000 in state matching funds to the Hawaii Commission for National and Community Service.

A BILL FOR AN ACT

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $145,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007, for the purpose of providing the required administrative match that would allow the Hawaii Commission for National and Community Service to generate over $1,000,000 in federal funds annually for projects in various communities throughout the State of Hawaii.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the University of Hawaii for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
