RELATING TO INSURANCE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 432D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§432D- Foreign health maintenance organization; certification. (b) Nothing in this section shall limit the commissioner's authority to require a foreign health maintenance organization to proceed with the certification process under this chapter if the commissioner, in the commissioner's sole discretion, determines that it would be in the public interest."
