A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to housing projects.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Section 201G-100, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is repealed.

["[§201G-100] Regulations, effective when. No ordinance or laws enacted by the council of any county regulating traffic within the projects of the corporation within the county, shall be valid or effective, unless prior thereto, the corporation has entered into a written contract with the county absolving the county from any and all responsibility or liability for the construction, maintenance, and repair of any streets, lanes, alleys, or highways or street markers, traffic signs, or signal devices within the projects of the corporation."]

SECTION 2. This Act does not affect rights and duties that matured, penalties that were incurred, and proceedings that were begun, before its effective date.

SECTION 3. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
