A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO LABOR DISPUTES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 379A-1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is repealed.
["[§379A-1] Picketing of residence or dwelling prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in picketing before or about the residence or dwelling place of any individual. Nothing herein shall be deemed to prohibit (1) the picketing in any lawful manner, during a labor dispute, of the place of employment involved in such labor dispute; or (2) the holding of a meeting or assembly on any premises commonly used for the discussion of subjects of general public interest."]
SECTION 2. Section 379A-2, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is repealed.
["[§379A-2] Penalty. Any person violating section 379A-1 shall be fined not more than $200 or imprisoned not more than six months, or both."]
SECTION 3. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
