A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 332D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§332D- Rules; enforcement. The department of health shall adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91 necessary for the purposes of this chapter. Rules adopted for the enforcement of this chapter shall be consistent with federal rules and regulations dealing with polybrominated diphenyl ethers."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
