A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING to parenting plans.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Section 571-46.5, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (e) to read as follows:

"(e) The [court or the] parties may agree to revise and amend the existing parenting plan [from time to time.] at any time during the minority of the child without a showing of a change in the circumstances of either party or any child of the parties. The parties may agree to any revisions or amendments to the parenting plan that are consistent with or allowed by any existing order, parenting plan, or decree; provided that any other changes to a parenting plan shall be subject to court approval. The parties shall file the revised parenting plan with the court."

SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
