A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to the legislature.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 22, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§22- Expenditures of the legislature; disclosure. Each house of the legislature shall publicly disclose its budget and expenditures. The disclosure shall be published as a part of each house's journal and shall be reported in a manner that enables the general public to reasonably determine how legislative funds are expended."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
