A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to public works.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 104, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part I to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§104- Oversight and enforcement. The department shall be the governmental entity responsible for the enforcement of this chapter and the collection and maintenance of the certified copies of payrolls for any public work project subject to this chapter that was not directly built or developed by a governmental contracting agency."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
