A BILL FOR AN ACT
making an appropriation to na lei wili area health education center's grow our own healers program.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Na Lei Wili supports the health of underserved communities through the education and development of its caregivers, and provides sensitive and well-trained professionals to areas of need across the region.
The purpose of this act is to appropriate funds for Na Lei Wili Area Health Education Center's Grow Our Own Healers Program.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the emergency and budget reserve fund of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007, as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for Na Lei Wili Area Health Education Center's Grow Our Own Healers Program.
SECTION 3. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the
department of health for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
