A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

workers' compensation insurance premiums.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 431, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§431:14-   Workers' compensation premium; hourly wage employees. For purposes of determining the amount of the premium to be paid by an employer for a contract for workers' compensation insurance, no insurer shall include within the calculation of wages for an hourly wage employee any premium paid for vacation or holiday leave."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
