Immunizes employers from responsibility over employee's personal use of employer-owned motor vehicle during non-work hours.

A BILL FOR AN ACT

SECTION 1. Chapter 663, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§663- Liability of employers. An employer that in good faith provides an employer-owned motor vehicle to an employee for the employee's personal use during non-work hours shall have immunity from civil liability for injuries, damages, traffic violations, or traffic infractions resulting from the employee's operation or possession of the motor vehicle during those non-work hours."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
