A BILL FOR AN ACT
making an appropriation to hale mahaolu for personal care program.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the emergency budget and reserve fund established under section 328L-3, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006, as a grant under chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for the personal care program at Hale Mahaolu's senior housing complex to continue the affordable and cost-effective personal care services to Maui county's disabled or chronically ill frail adults and elders to maintain an independent lifestyle and to prevent premature or unnecessary institutionalization.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of human services.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
