A BILL FOR AN ACT
making an appropriation for lifeguards at Makena State Park.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $427,682, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007, for lifeguard coverage at Makena State Park.
The sums appropriated shall be allocated as follows: $262,532 for personnel, $28,000 for operations, and $137,150 for equipment.
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
