A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

making AN appropriation for capital improvement projects in windward district schools.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

Part I

SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for the fiscal year 2005-2006, for:

A. Keolu School, Oahu

Basketball/multi-purpose court for

Community $

B. Keolu School, Oahu

Construction of new middle school $

C. Kalaheo High School, Oahu

Football/track field and spectator

seating $18,000,000

D. Kalaheo High School, Oahu

Communication arts building $

E. Aikahi Elementary School

Portables for SpEd and SSC counselor $

F. Aikahi Elementary School

Renovation of school $

G. Aikahi Elementary School

Grading of grounds $

H. Castle High School

Bus turn-around $

I. Castle High School

Expanded drop-off/pick-up parking $

J. Kapunahala Elementary School

Library/technology center renovations $

K. Kapunahala Elementary School

Parking expansion $

L. King Intermediate School

Covered play-court/parking area $

M. Kaneohe Elementary School

Parking expansion $

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.

Part II

SECTION 3. There is appropriated out of the state educational facilities improvement special fund the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006 for:

A. Maunawili School, Oahu

Electrical upgrade $500,000

B. Kailua Elementary School, Oahu

Electrical upgrade $

C. Kailua Elementary School, Oahu

Replacement of all plumbing/pipes $

D. Ka'elepulu Elementary School, Oahu

Electrical upgrade $

E. Mokapu Elementary School, Oahu

Electrical upgrade $

F. Kapunahala Elementary School, Oahu

Roof repair $

G. Benjamin Parker Elementary School, Oahu

Exterior painting of all buildings $

SECTION 4. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.

Part III

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
