Requires the Director of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to waive the licensing fees for any social worker employed by the State or county government.

A BILL FOR AN ACT

"(a) Application, examination, reexamination, license, renewal, late renewal penalty fees, and other reasonable and necessary fees relating to administration of this chapter, none of which are refundable, shall be as provided in rules adopted by the director pursuant to chapter 91[.]; provided that any license fees for persons employed as a social worker by the state or county government shall be waived by the director."

SECTION 2. Section 467E-10, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

"[[]§467E-10[]] Issuance of license. The director shall issue a license to any person who meets all licensure requirements and pays the appropriate fees[.]; provided that the license fees of persons employed as social workers by the state or county government shall be waived by the director."

SECTION 3. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
