A BILL FOR AN ACT
RElating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the Hawaii community college.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2006-2007:
A. Drafting and skills buildings
Plans and design to upgrade electrical service and air conditioning.

Design and construction to correct sewer line connections.

Provided that all construction work meet or exceed the leadership in energy and environmental design silver rating standards for new construction/major renovation work (LEED-NC) and existing building operations (LEED-EB) established by the United States Green Building Council for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the University of Hawaii for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
