A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO GENERAL EXCISE TAX.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 237-27.1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended as follows:
1. By amending subsection (a) to read:
"(a) There shall be exempted from and excluded from the measure of the taxes imposed by this chapter all of the gross proceeds arising from the sale of alcohol fuels and diesel fuel for consumption or use by the purchaser and not for resale."
2. By amending subsection (d) to read:
"(d) This section shall be repealed on December 31, [2006.] 2009."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2020.
