A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-ninth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2006-2007:
A. Fern elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for electrical upgrades and air conditioning in I building.
Design $2,000
Construction $209,000
Total funding $211,000
B. Farrington high school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for a dining and multi-use pavilion between the cafeteria and T building.
Design $20,000
Construction $250,000
Equipment $5,000
Total funding $275,000
C. Kalakaua middle school, Oahu
Design and construction to replace J building with a new building for the boys' and girls' locker room.
Design $50,000
Construction $2,215,000
Total funding $2,265,000
D. Kalihi Kai elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to upgrade school's existing electrical system.
Design $20,000
Construction $480,000
Total funding $500,000
E. Kalihi Waena elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to install and upgrade the electrical wiring and circuits to support air-conditioning unit in the administration building.
Design $1,000
Construction $9,000
Total funding $10,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
