A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE thirty-ninth REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2006-2007.

1. To be expended by the department of health:

A. Wahiawa general hospital, Oahu

Acquisition of diagnostic imaging equipment.

(1) Computerized tomography/picture archiving and communications systems for sixteen-slice scanning and for acquisition, processing, storing, and use of medical images $1,750,000

(2) Computed radiography to directly store computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine in a central archiving system in digitized format 200,000

(3) Ultrasound for three- and four- dimensional imaging 250,000

Total funding $2,200,000

2. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Leilehua high school, Oahu

(1) Improvements to the football field.

Plans, design, construction $2,000,000

B. Leilehua high school, Oahu

(1) Construction of a baseball park and facilities.

Plans, design, construction $1,500,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
