A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE EIGHTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2006-2007.
1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Nisei veterans memorial center, Maui
Construction for an archive center.
Construction $750,000
Total funding $750,000
2. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Central Maui intermediate school, Maui
Plans and design for a new school campus.
Plans $1,000
Design $4,783,000
Total funding $4,784,000
B. Wailuku elementary school, Maui
Plans and design for a new school campus.
Plans $1,000
Design $3,691,000
Total funding $3,692,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
