Appropriates funds to enable the office of elections to provide voter registration and information materials in Korean in printed and electronic form.

A BILL FOR AN ACT

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $          , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007, for the chief election officer to provide voter registration and voter information and educational material in printed and electronic formats in the Korean language.

SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the office of elections for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
