A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the fifth representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2006-2007:

1. To be expended by the Hawaii county department of parks and recreation:

A. Kahuku park regulation soccer field, Hawaii

Design, construction, and equipment to lay top soil and cinder, and install a sprinkler system.

B. Kahuku park skatepark, Hawaii

Plans, design, construction, and equipment for a cement skatepark with fencing.

C. Konawaena swimming pool, Hawaii

Construction for repairs.

Construction $1,500,000

2. To be expended by the Hawaii county department of public works:

A. Kulani road, Hawaii

Plans, design, and construction for improvements to the intersection of Mamalahoa highway and Kulani road.

B. Mamalahoa highway, Hawaii

Plans, design, and construction to extend the northbound left turn collector lane on Mamalahoa highway at Konawaena elementary school.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective

capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the

designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
