A BILL FOR AN ACT
making an appropriation for kokua legal services, incorporated.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the emergency and budget reserve fund the sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007, as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for Kokua Legal Services, Incorporated, to provide legal and housing assistance to low-income families.
SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the office of community services, department of labor and industrial relations for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
