A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to education.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $___________, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006, for the provision of pre-school services.
SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act. The moneys appropriated by this Act may be used to contract for the provision of services by nongovernmental providers.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
