A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the thirtieth representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2005-2006:

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Kalihi elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction to resurface, recoat, and stripe parking lot and resurface walkway.

Design $5,000

Construction $55,000

Total funding $60,000

B. Kalihi-Uka elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction to renovate restrooms to replace fixtures, improve sanitation conditions, and minimize the use of water.

Design $5,000

Construction $95,000

Total funding $100,000

C. Kalihi-Uka elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction to repair screen tiles in buildings A and B.

Design $10,000

Construction $150,000

Total funding $160,000

D. Kalihi-Waena elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction to add twenty parking stalls adjacent to the cafeteria (building H) parking lot.

Design $5,000

Construction $45,000

Total funding $50,000

E. Farrington high school, Oahu

Design and construction to improve the sport track.

Design $35,000

Construction $650,000

Total funding $685,000

F. Farrington high school, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction for a dining/multi-use pavilion.

Plans $5,000

Design $5,000

Construction $240,000

Total funding $250,000

2. To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:

A. Kalihi nature park, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction to build a Kalihi nature park on a one hundred-acre parcel in the back of Kalihi valley.

Plans $5,000

Design $5,000

Construction $190,000

Total funding $200,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
