Makes an appropriation for a grant-in-aid to Maui Economic Opportunity Inc., for night-time dialysis services on the island of Maui.

A BILL FOR AN ACT

SECTION 1. The legislature finds and declares that the appropriation of moneys under this Act for a grant-in-aid to Maui Economic Opportunity Inc. for night-time dialysis services on the island of Maui is in the public interest and for the public health, safety, and general welfare.

SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $150,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007, for a grant-in-aid to Maui Economic Opportunity Inc. for night-time dialysis services on the island of Maui.

SECTION 3. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
