A BILL FOR AN ACT
making an appropriation for the nisei veterans memorial center.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $1, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006, as a grant-in-aid for the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center to complete phase II of the intergenerational center for preschoolers and an adult day care center in order to provide needed services so as to care for and honor the patriots of World War II who exemplified the rights and duties of citizenship.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of labor and industrial relations for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
