A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to hepatitis.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2005-2006 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007 to hire one full time equivalent (1.00 FTE) case manager to:
(1) Facilitate referral to and acceptance of individuals with viral hepatitis for medical coverage, housing, and ongoing counseling; and
(2) Collect data on the population served.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
