Amends definition of "natural medicine" to allow injections of natural medicines by a naturopathic physician.

A BILL FOR AN ACT

SECTION 1. Section 455-1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending the definition of "natural medicine" to read as follows:

""Natural medicine" encompasses substances of botanical, mineral, and animal origin, homeopathic preparations thereof, and substances whose natural state has been improved by any process that does not substantially alter the molecular structure found in nature, including vitamins, minerals, and amino acids; excluding prescription drugs, with the following exceptions: vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids. Natural medicines may be administered using appropriate methods including injection."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
