A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the EIGHTeenth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2005-2006.
1. Aina Haina elementary school, Oahu
Air conditioning for school
Installation $ 3,500,000
Total Funding $ 3,500,000
2. Hahaione elementary school, Oahu
Electrical and telecommunications upgrades, administrative building renovation, and air conditioning for the school.
Electrical upgrade $ 500,000
Telecommunications upgrade $ 520,000
Administrative building renovation $ 550,000
Installation of air conditioning $ 3,500,000
Total Funding $ 5,070,000
3. Kahala elementary school, Oahu
Telecommunications upgrade $ 330,000
ADA transition accessibility $ 350,000
Air conditioning for school $ 3,500,000
Total Funding $ 4,180,000
4. Kaimuki high school, Oahu
Remove asbestos in buildings C and H.
Ceiling tile $ 250,000
Air conditioning for school $10,000,000
Total Funding $10,250,000
5. Kaimuki middle school, Oahu
Air conditioning for school $ 4,000,000
Total Funding $ 4,000,000
6. Kaiser high school, Oahu
Restrooms to support softball field $ 200,000
Girls athletic locker room $ 2,000,000
ADA transition accessibility $ 250,000
Air conditioning for the school $10,000,000

Girl's athletic locker room $ 2,000,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
