A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-first representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2005-2006:
1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Construction for campus drainage improvements.
Construction $ 150,000
Total funding $ 150,000
B. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Campus carpentry work.
Construction $ 35,000
Total funding $ 35,000
C. Jefferson elementary school, Oahu
Construction to renovate restrooms in "O" building.
Construction $ 100,000
Total funding $ 100,000
D. Jefferson elementary school, Oahu
Construction to upgrade "R" building electrical system.
Construction $ 100,000
Total funding $ 100,000
E. Kaimuki high school, Oahu
Construction of media center.
Construction $ 300,000
Total funding $ 300,000
F. Liholiho elementary school, Oahu
Construction to install parking lot lights for 8th and 9th avenue lots.
Construction $ 346,000

G. Liholiho elementary school, Oahu
Construction to add (3) field lights.

Construction for parking lot expansion.

Construction to install central P.A. system.

2. To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:
A. Construction for the improvement of the Waikiki seawall.

B. Design of the Diamond Head monument visitor center.
Design $2,500,000
Total funding $2,500,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
