| Description: | Prohibits physician from performing an abortion on a minor unless: (1) the physician has given 72 hours actual notice to the minor's parents or guardian; (2) a family court or appellate court authorizes the minor to consent, either by issuing an appropriate order or by failing to do so; or (3) the physician concludes that an abortion is necessary to avoid death or a serious risk of substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function. Prescribes procedure for obtaining judicial approval. |
