RELATING TO VIOLATIONS OF CHAPTER 6E. Establishes criminal offenses for knowingly taking, appropriating, excavating, injuring, destroying or altering historic property, aviation artifacts, and burial sites without permission or without obtaining required approval. Establishes a criminal offense for knowingly failing to stop work in the immediate area and reporting the discovery in cases when a burial site is discovered. Clarifies that these actions are also civil and administrative violations under the Historic Preservation Law, for which civil and administrative penalties are in addition to criminal penalties. Also establishes that it is a civil and administrative violation to knowingly fail to re-inter human remains discovered on private lands or lands owned by the State or counties, in a reasonable period of time as determined by the Department of Land and Natural Resources.
