RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS.

Allows trustees of the office of Hawaiian affairs, who were in service on 07/01/02, with no fewer than 5 years of employees' retirement system membership service and who elected to become an employees' retirement system member prior to 10/01/02, to purchase their service credit pursuant to section 88-59(2), Hawaii Revised Statutes.

RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

Provides deputy sheriffs and the division administrator with similar retirement benefits afforded other law enforcement and safety officers by allowing retirement after twenty-five years of credited service, regardless of age.

RELATING TO CORRECTIONS OFFICERS.

Provides corrections officers with similar retirement benefits afforded other law enforcement and safety officers by allowing retirement after 25 years of credited service, regardless of age.
