RELATING TO MISSING CHILD CENTER-HAWAII.

Amends the name of the "Hawaii State Clearinghouse for Missing Children" to "Missing Child Center-Hawaii." (HB582 HD1)

RELATING TO CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES.

Requires that the child protective review panel review proceedings taken prior to the issuance of a court order upon the request by the child's family and makes decision available to court in any subsequent proceedings. Adds persons who represent family interests to those who may be appointed to review panel. (HB938 HD1)

RELATING TO DRUGS.

Repeals section 46-15.39, Hawaii Revised Statutes, returning traditional zoning regulatory authority in residential zones back to the counties. Allows DOH to license all special treatment facilities and therapeutic living programs. (SD1)

RELATING TO CRIMINAL OFFENSES.

Directs the legislative reference bureau to periodically identify state laws outside the penal code relating to non-serious offenses that may be decriminalized and to draft legislation accordingly. (SD1)

RELATING TO PUBLIC MEETINGS.

Allows two members of a board to discuss between themselves matters relating to official board business if the two members do not constitute a quorum of their board. Allows two members if they are not a quorum to also make presentations or testify at another board upon specified conditions. (SD1)

RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES.

Prohibits an employer or labor organization from discriminating against an employee who uses accrued and available sick leave in accordance with a negotiated attendance policy. (SD1)

RELATING TO PREVAILING WAGES.

Provides for the manner in which the prevailing wages for laborers and mechanics on public work projects are to be established. Expands the definition of public works to include certain private construction contracts. (SD1)
