RELATING TO DENTISTS.

Authorizes the licensure of dental specialists who are licensed in another state with licensing standards at least equivalent to Hawaii's standards.

Extends the sunset date of Act 132, SLH 2001, as amended, that exempt dental service corporations and dental service organizations from health insurer assessments.

Authorizes the board of dental examiners to grant licenses without examination to dental hygienists who are already licensed in other states.

RELATING TO INSURANCE COVERAGE OF IN VITRO FERTILIZATION.

Clarifies that in vitro fertilization procedure insurance coverage is available: once per lifetime; to the extent that IVF is medically necessary; if infertility is not a result of elective sterilization; and if the patient will be less than 43 years old at the time of the procedure.

Requires DOH to publish food establishment violations on its web site each month. Requires a food establishment, upon request, to permit a customer to view a copy of the current inspection report, including inspection findings, any violation found, and any penalty. Imposes a fine for noncompliance.

RELATING TO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS.

Requires all employees working directly with adult residential care home and expanded adult residential care home patients to submit to an interstate criminal background check prior to final consideration for employment with an adult health care facility.

Makes an appropriation to the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center for emergency medical services.
