Amends workers' compensation law, including but not limited to mandating further requirements for vocational rehabilitation providers, limiting the director's rulemaking authority, and specifying procedures for filing of claims. Reinstates the rulemaking authority of the director on July 1, 2007. |

RELATING TO APPRENTICESHIPS. Amends the standards for apprenticeship agreements to include assurances of qualified training personnel, adequate job supervision, and the requisite licenses. Requires the director of DLIR to establish an apprenticeship council whose purpose is to promote and approve apprenticeship programs. Provides that these changes are only effective upon written approval by the OATELS. |
