SB 1483 SD1 (HSCR1134)	RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS FOR WAIMEA COUNTRY SCHOOL. Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds for Waimea Country School to finance or refinance the planning, acquisition, construction, or improvement of its educational facilities. SB 1250 SD2, HD1 (HSCR1212)	RELATING TO PUBLIC SCHOOL SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS. Requires the board of education to develop a classification/compensation plan for substitute teachers' pay commensurate with their educational training and academic qualifications. Effective 7/1/2005.	LAB/EDN, FIN
SB 1636 SD2, HD1 (HSCR1213)	RELATING TO TEACHERS. Establishes increment salary increases for teachers and creates a comprehensive evaluation process for teachers.	LAB/EDN, FIN
SB 1661 SD2, HD1 (HSCR1228)	RELATING TO EDUCATION. Allows the department of education to carryover certain unencumbered appropriations. Requires the department to convert principal positions to twelve-month status. Appropriates funds to enable the department to support its information systems and infrastructure and continue its steps to fulfill the mandates of the Reinventing Education Act of 2004. Specifies the time period within which a hearing must be requested by a parent or guardian of a handicapped child, or by the department, on matters relating to the identification, evaluation, program, or placement of a handicapped child. SB 1643 SD2, HD1 (HSCR1227)	RELATING TO EDUCATION. Makes clarifying amendments to the new century charter school statutes. Establishes and provides funding for a per pupil allocation funding mechanism. Allows charter school employees to participate in the State's workers' compensation system. Enables charter schools to receive federal grant moneys under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Appropriates funds for these various purposes.	EDN/LAB, FIN
