RELATING TO CRUISE SHIPS. Establishes standards for the discharge of treated sewage and air emissions from commercial passenger vessels into the marine waters of the State. Prohibits the discharge of untreated sewage from commercial passenger vessels into the marine waters of the State. Provides for recordkeeping and monitoring. (HB 422 HD2) |

RELATING TO THE DEPOSIT BEVERAGE CONTAINER PROGRAM. Exempts commercial passenger vessels with recycling programs prescribed or approved by the department of health from the requirements of the State's deposit beverage container program. Defines "commercial passenger vessel" and "patron". Allows for reverse vending machines to reject containers with an unreadable barcode. Allows for the flattening of beverage containers. RELATING TO SOLAR ENERGY. Allows for the installation of solar energy devices on any privately owned single-family residential dwelling or townhouse, with limited restrictions. Requires private entities to adopt rules regarding the placement of solar energy devices. (HB1017 HD3) |

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY. Amends the renewable portfolio standard law to clarify the events considered to be outside a utility's control in meeting the standard. Authorizes PUC to study green power pricing programs. (HB1434 HD3) |
