RELATING TO MILITARY INSTALLATIONS.

Requires a county planning department or petitioner to notify the authorities of a military installation of a proposed zoning change or district boundary amendment. Requires a county or the LUC to request from the commanding officer of the military installation written comments and supporting facts relating to the use of the land being considered for a zoning change or district boundary amendment. Requires a county land use decision-making authority or the LUC to review and consider the impact of a proposed zoning change or district boundary amendment on a military installation and the rest of the community. RELATING TO SCHOOL LUNCH.

Authorizes the Department of Education to set school lunch prices to allow for the recovery from lunch sales of up to 1/2, rather than 1/3, of the costs of preparing the lunches. (HB843 HD1)

RELATING TO SCHOOLS.

Requires the Department of Education (DOE) to conduct asbestos tests prior to renovations or painting of school facilities at all DOE schools. Directs DOE to maintain a record of all students at King intermediate who may have been exposed to asbestos. Appropriates funds. (HB1295 HD2)
