A G E N D A

The Senate Affordable Housing Task Force will receive input on issues related to affordable housing from a variety of private sector experts, including developers, landowners, economists and financial specialists. Representatives of public sector agencies and departments with oversight and policy responsibilities for the development of Hawaii’s affordable housing stock will also take part. In addition, the task force encourages members of the public interested in sharing their concerns and suggestions about affordable housing to participate and provide input at the briefing.

Government departments and agencies will make their presentations first, followed by private sector experts, after which members of the public will be invited to deliver their input. After hearing from those providing comments, the task force will conduct a question-and-answer session with participants.

While the task force will receive both oral and written comments, participants wishing to submit written comments are asked to provide seven copies of their remarks to the Committee Clerk of the Senate Commerce, Consumer Protection and Housing Committee (CPH) prior to the beginning of the meeting.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids and/or services to participate in any of the fact-finding meetings (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled), please contact the Committee Clerk in Senator Menor’s office at least 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION, PLEASE CALL THE COMMITTEE CLERK AT 586-6740.
