RELATING TO STANDARDS FOR NET METERED RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEMS.

Simplifies requirements for interconnecting net metered renewable energy systems. Requires the PUC, through decision and order or tariff approval, to adopt interconnection standards and requirements for systems above ten kilowatts. Effective July 1, 2099. (SD1)

RELATING TO NET ENERGY METERING.

Removes the cap on the allowable customer-generator generating capacity; incrementally increases the percentage of the total energy generating capacity produced by eligible customer-generators under the net energy metering law; changes billing period to an annual basis. (SD1)

RELATING TO THE SEAWATER AIR CONDITIONING.

Exempts seawater air conditioning district cooling systems from PUC regulation, provided that at least fifty per cent of the energy required for the system is provided by a renewable energy source. (SD1)
