RELATING TO PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.

Requires DHS to establish pharmacy best practices and cost control program. Creates drug utilization review board. Authorizes pharmacy discount plan. Requires marketing disclosures by drug manufacturers.

SB 802

RELATING TO A STATE PHARMACY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

Creates a State Pharmacy Assistance Program to provide benefits to certain elderly and disabled individuals to assist in defraying costs for medically necessary prescriptions under the new federal medicare part D drug benefit program.
